We go out on our own
It's a big bad world outside
Carrying' our dreams and all that they mean
Trying to make it all worthwhile

Starting blog today with
Kodaline’s song called Big Bad World, because from now on I’ll be telling you
about my journey at Sulawesi, Makassar, Indonesia for a month from the 20th
of January – the 18th of February. To be honest, when I was leaving Thailand
I had no feeling for craving or missing anything but this song could describe my
feeling well. Since the name of this
song called Big Bad World but the meaning of song is so beautiful. It’s about
life with the adventure that you have to be in, and it’s also about trying, and
starting to make something new for your life.
On the midst of
January, there are 10 university students who are studying faculty of Education
at Valaya Alongkorn Rajbhat University from Thailand went to Indonesia for
exchanging culture, education and knowledge under the program of The Southeast
Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). Thankfully, my friends and
I got that opportunity to be an exchange student teacher at Makassar,
Indonesia. There are 8 students from
English Education, 1 student from Mathematics Education and the other 1 from
Science Education. My name is Eve and I’m studying Faculty of Education at
Valaya Alongkorn Rajbhat University under the Royal Patronage. The day I left
Thailand was the hardest day ever, because I hadn’t eaten anything all day and
all of us had to run all day long for transit the plane. And this was our
flight Don Maung > Kula lumpur > Jakarta > Makassar.
At 9.00 p.m. of local
time, we arrived at Sultan
Hasanuddin International Airport. As soon as I arrived there
I started to smell the cigarette, now my thought loomed into cloudy mood,
thinking “oh mine! How come I forgot that they smoke cigarette here? And how
can I deal with it? It will be 30 days, I’m definitely going to die here”. But then
my though faded away because I saw 2 girls and 1 boy holding the sign said
VALAYA ALANKORN RAJABATH. Then all of depressed, exhausted, tired slipped away.
We all ran into that group, greeting and introducing to each other. They are
the volunteer students from Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM), Nia, Abe and
Amin. Then, they took us to the Hotel where is across the UNM, La Macca Hotel. We met Mr.Yassir for the first time there. He and
ma’am Widya were in charge to taking care of us. There
were five rooms for us. So, it will be 2 people in one room. I lived with my
classmate, Aomsin. So, now she turned to be my roommate. And we finally had
something to eat, Instant noodle from the Hotel Mini Mart.
